Costa Rica is one of the rainiest countries in the world! The dry season stretches from December to April on the pacific site. The rainy season starts in May and is interrupted by a short dry period in July. The rainiest months are September and October. It is not possible to define a clear rainy- or dry season for the Caribbean site. In contrast to the pacific site it is very dry in September and October. In total it rains a lot more on the Caribbean site than on the pacific site, especially in the north. On the pacific site it is wise versa, it rains less in the north.
