This is the 20th edition of this competition! The first 17 kilometers of this competition are uphill, 2 kilometers in elevation, and then it goes 17 kilometers downhill. This year it is the eighth time the competition takes place.

The record holds Juan Carlos Zuniga with 3 hours, 15 minutes and 3 seconds in the race in 2002.
